Article 13 GDPR notice · version dated 10 September 2026
GDPR information notice.
This notice explains who processes the data supplied when using our fare calculator, contacting us and requesting a ride.
1. Controller and contact
The controller is STREFA TAXI ŁUKASZ WOŁOS, Polish Tax ID 5821631827, registered address: ul. Rolnicza 70, 80-297 Banino, operating under the STREFA TAXI brand.
For personal data matters or to exercise your rights, call +48 726 431 575 or write to the controller’s postal address.
2. Data we process
Depending on the function you use, this may include your name, phone number, email address, pickup address, destination and stops, ride date and time, passenger and luggage counts, vehicle preference, booking notes, fare estimate, booking service data and technical connection data.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Fare estimate and ride booking
We use the data to determine the route and fare, receive the request, check availability, contact you, accept or decline the booking and provide the ride. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract and performance of the contract.
Contact and enquiries
We use the data to answer questions and handle service-related matters. The basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR or, where applicable, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in handling correspondence and customer service.
Security, records and claims
We may process data to protect the website, prevent misuse, document service and establish, pursue or defend claims under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Data required by tax or accounting law is processed under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.
Website analytics
Google Analytics runs only with your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw consent at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer without affecting prior lawful processing.
4. Calculator and route statistics
Addresses and any location you voluntarily share are processed to find places, calculate a road route and provide an estimated fare. After calculation, we keep a route statistic containing place names without building numbers and coordinates rounded to approximately 1 km. It is not linked to your name, phone number, email or user account. We use it to understand demand and improve our service area under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
5. Recipients
Data may be disclosed only where necessary to the assigned driver and our service providers: hosting and infrastructure (Vercel), database (Neon), transactional email (Resend), dispatch notifications (Pushover), OpenStreetMap-based geocoding, map and routing services including Photon, Nominatim and OSRM, and Google after analytics consent. We may also disclose data where required by law. We do not sell personal data.
6. Transfers outside the EEA
Some technology providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, transfers rely on safeguards under Chapter V GDPR, such as a European Commission adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses. Contact the controller to request information or a copy of the relevant safeguard.
7. Retention
- Bookings: up to 12 months after the scheduled ride; older entries are removed by the system.
- Fare calculator statistics: up to 12 months after calculation; older entries are removed by the system.
- Tax and accounting records: for the period required by law.
- Claims-related data: until the matter is resolved or the applicable limitation period expires.
- Google Analytics data: until consent is withdrawn or the configured retention period expires, whichever occurs first.
8. Your rights
Subject to the GDPR conditions, you may request access and a copy, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
You may lodge a complaint with the President of the Polish Personal Data Protection Office, ul. Stanisława Moniuszki 1A, 00-014 Warsaw, uodo.gov.pl.
9. Is providing data mandatory?
Providing data is voluntary, but fields marked as required are necessary to receive and process an online booking request. Without them, we cannot accept the request online. Sharing your current location and agreeing to analytics are optional and are not conditions for using the calculator or booking form.
10. Automated decisions
The calculator automatically produces an estimated fare based on route and tariff, but it does not make a decision that has legal effects on you. Every online request is checked and separately accepted by STREFA TAXI. We do not perform automated customer profiling.
